Central Group Opens Learning Centre for Phuket Students

PHUKET: Central Group, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, opened the Chiratiwat Community Learning Centre at Baan Sapam Mongkol Wittaya School in Phuket on Friday, November 14.

Built and equipped with B3 million in funding donated by the Central Group as part of a nationwide campaign to build learning centres in all 77 of Thailand's provinces, the new learning centre features a library, computers and learning corners dedicated to educating students about the ASEAN community.

Presiding over the opening ceremony were: Deputy Secretary of the Office of the Basic Education Commission under the Ministry of Education Mr Rojana Kitcharoen (cream suit); Central Group Senior Vice President, Office of Policy Management for Corporate Relations & CSR, Ms Wantanee Chirathivat; along with General Manager Operations, Robinson Department Store, Thanamet Pongpornkulapak; Area General Manager, Centara Grand Beach Resort Phuket, Darren Shaw, and Tops General Manager of Operations, Food Hall, Panuwat Thakhot.
